About the Pattern
Explore a beautiful Flamboyant Gothic rose window from the tympanum of the St-Vulfran Collegiate Church in Abbeville, northern France. The Flamboyant Gothic style, which emerged in the 15th century, is characterized by its flowing lines and flame-like motifs. More ornate than previous Gothic styles, it emphasizes fluidity and movement. This elegant small rose, composed of six petals and set within an arch, is a fine example of the Flamboyant style.
